Did Iran 'confess' to strike on girls' school? Fact-checking claims about US, Israeli attacks
Fake and outdated videos and images are circulating on social media misrepresenting the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran and Iran's counterattacks.
The United States and Israel bombed Iran Feb. 28, with President Donald Trump accusing Iran of building nuclear weapons that threaten U.S. allies and could "soon" reach the U.S.
The Trump administration's deployment of Border Patrol agents in North Carolina prompted a range of claims about the operation, some of which are misleading.
"There's about 1,400 criminal illegal aliens that, right now, are in North Carolina and Charlotte's jails that they refuse to turn over to ICE law enforcement," Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for public affairs for the Department of Homeland Security, said in an interview.
On social media, some are speculating that the Trump administration's plan for widescale deportations includes a formal arrangement with Home Depot.
